Roblox Creator Tools / Dynamic Fire Gameplay System
Dynamic Fire Spread & Extinguisher System.
Add spreading fire, burning characters, and extinguisher gameplay to your Roblox experience. Parts, Models, players, and selected NPCs can catch fire, take damage, and be saved with the included fire extinguisher. The package also includes large-object fire cells, looping fire sounds, an AutoIgniter device, and an optional Fireguard Helmet.
What is Dynamic Fire Spread & Extinguisher System?
Dynamic Fire Spread & Extinguisher System is a complete fire gameplay package for Roblox. It lets prepared Parts and Models catch fire, spread flames to nearby objects, burn across larger surfaces, and be extinguished by players.
Players and selected NPCs can also catch fire and take damage. This makes the system useful for firefighter games, rescue missions, survival maps, burning buildings, environmental hazards, and action scenes where fire is part of the gameplay.
Main Features
Fire can move from one prepared object to nearby flammable Parts and Models, creating an active spreading-fire experience.
Players can use the included extinguisher to put out flames on objects, characters, and individual burning areas.
Players and selected NPCs can catch fire, take damage, and be extinguished during rescue or survival gameplay.
- Fire spread between nearby objects
- Part and Model support
- Large-object Fire Cell system
- Player and selected NPC fire
- Character fire damage
- Included fire extinguisher Tool
- Terrain Water extinguishing support
- Looping fire sound system
- AutoIgniter bonus device
- Optional Fireguard Helmet
Fire That Spreads Through the Map
The system can spread fire from one prepared object to another. A burning Part or Model can check nearby flammable objects and start new fires when they are within the configured spread range.
This creates more active fire scenes than placing a simple Flame object on every item. A small fire can grow across furniture, walls, roofs, floors, props, or other prepared parts of the environment.
Fire behavior is managed by the main system. You do not need to place a separate fire Script inside every burnable object.
Large Objects Use Fire Cells
A large object does not need to burn as one single point. The system can divide larger surfaces into several Fire Cells, allowing different areas of the same object to catch fire separately.
Each cell can burn and be extinguished independently. This helps flames spread across floors, walls, roofs, furniture, and building sections instead of appearing only at the center of the object.
- Separate burning areas
Different sections of a large object can catch fire. - Local extinguishing
Players can put out one burning area at a time. - Surface-based spread
Fire can spread from locations closer to nearby objects. - Better large-object visuals
Useful for buildings, walls, roofs, and wide floors.
Character Fire
Players can catch fire and take damage over time. Selected NPCs can also use the CharacterFlammable setup to join the same fire system.
Burning characters can be extinguished with the included extinguisher. A burning player can also use the extinguisher on themselves, and entering supported Terrain Water can remove Character fire.
- Player fire support
- Selected NPC fire support
- Adjustable Character fire damage
- Extinguisher support for burning characters
- Self-extinguishing support
- Terrain Water extinguishing support
Burning characters do not normally spread fire to every object they walk past. This helps prevent one moving character from creating too many new fires around the map.
Fire Extinguisher Gameplay
The included extinguisher turns the fire system into a playable game mechanic. Players can aim at burning areas and reduce or remove the fire instead of waiting for the flames to disappear automatically.
This is useful for rescue games, firefighter missions, timed challenges, disaster events, survival maps, and puzzles where players must control the fire before it spreads farther.
- Extinguish burning Parts
- Extinguish Fire Cells separately
- Extinguish burning players
- Extinguish selected burning NPCs
- Useful for timed rescue missions
- Useful for cooperative fire-control gameplay
AutoIgniter Bonus
The package includes a small stationary AutoIgniter device. After a random delay, the device ignites itself and allows the normal fire spread system to begin from that location.
It does not work like an explosive device. Its purpose is simply to start a fire automatically, making it useful for timed emergencies, random disaster events, fire-training scenes, and changing map conditions.
- Random start delay
Set a minimum and maximum time before ignition. - Normal fire spread
The new fire continues through the regular spread rules. - Stationary setup
Place the device where an automatic fire should begin. - Optional ignition point
Control where the first flame appears.
Fireguard Helmet Bonus
The optional Fireguard Helmet gives players temporary protection from Character fire damage. While protection remains, the helmet absorbs fire damage before it reaches the player’s Humanoid.
When its durability reaches zero, the helmet can break, play a sound, show a small effect, and allow normal fire damage to begin. This creates a useful protection item for firefighter roles, rescue missions, dangerous areas, and survival gameplay.
- Temporary protection from system-managed fire damage
- Adjustable durability
- Optional break sound
- Optional break particle effect
- Useful for firefighter equipment
- Useful for limited protection items
Fire Sound System
The system supports looping fire sounds for burning objects and characters. Normal burning targets can use one looping sound that follows the active burning area, helping the sound feel connected to the visible flames.
Character fire uses its own shorter-range sound style, so a burning player or NPC can be heard without making the entire map too loud.
- Object fire sound
Looping sound for normal burning targets. - Character fire sound
Separate sound behavior for players and NPCs. - Volume settings
Adjust fire sound strength. - Distance settings
Control how far fire sounds can be heard.
Material and Burn Behavior
Different Roblox materials can use different fire behavior. Creators can make selected materials easier or harder to burn, helping wood, fabric-like objects, metal, stone, and other surfaces feel different.
Burn time, damage, spread behavior, color changes, burnout, and whether an object may catch fire again can be adjusted to match the game.
- Material-based fire behavior
- Adjustable ignition and burn timing
- Adjustable fire spread distance
- Optional visual color change
- Optional burnout behavior
- Optional re-ignition after burnout
Customizable Settings
Important values are organized through the system Settings, allowing creators to adjust fire behavior without rebuilding the main scripts.
- Fire spread
Adjust spread distance, timing, and nearby target checks. - Fire Cells
Adjust cell size and large-object fire behavior. - Character damage
Control whether players and NPCs take fire damage. - Character spread
Choose whether burning characters can start new fires. - Burnout
Choose whether objects change or burn out over time. - Re-ignition
Choose whether previously burned objects can catch fire again. - Sounds
Adjust IDs, volume, and listening distance. - Material rules
Change fire behavior for different material types.
Easy Map Setup
Burnable objects can be prepared with tags, making the system easier to manage across larger maps. Parts and Models can be marked as flammable without adding a different Script to every object.
The included extinguisher, AutoIgniter, and Fireguard Helmet can then be placed or distributed according to the needs of the game.
- Tag-based flammable object setup
- Central fire management
- Works with Parts and Models
- CharacterFlammable support for selected NPCs
- Included extinguisher Tool
- Optional bonus fire equipment
